About Kalinchock Hydropower Limited

Kalinchock Hydropower Limited (KHPL) was incorporated on 19 May 2016 and converted to a public limited company on 15 June 2022. Its project is the 5 MW Sangu (Sorun) Khola Small Hydroelectric Project, a run-of-river scheme located in the Kalinchowk, Khopachangu and Sangu areas of Dolakha district, Bagmati Province, executed under a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) model. The project has a design discharge of 1.99 m³/s, gross head of 331.5 m, and is designed to generate about 29.72 GWh annually, with its powerhouse near the confluence of the Sangu Khola and Singati Khola. Power generated is to be sold to Nepal Electricity Authority.
