About Butwal Power Company Limited

Butwal Power Company Limited (BPCL) is one of Nepal's pioneering power companies, with generation and distribution as core businesses. It owns and operates the 9.4 MW Andhi Khola and 12 MW Jhimruk hydropower plants in western Nepal. The company was incorporated in 1966 and converted into a public limited company in 1993. BPCL is a holding company with multiple subsidiaries, including Khudi Hydropower Limited (Khudi project, Lamjung), Nyadi Hydropower Limited (30 MW Nyadi run-of-river project, Lamjung), and Kabeli Energy Limited (37.6 MW Kabeli-A project). It also holds service and engineering subsidiaries including Hydro Lab Pvt. Ltd., Hydro-Consult Engineering (HCE), and BPC Services, engaged in operation and maintenance, consulting, and manufacturing of hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment.
