(NMB Laghubitta) is a regional-level Class-D (retail) microfinance institution promoted by NMB Bank Limited, and is noted as the first microfinance institution registered as a subsidiary of a development/commercial bank in Nepal. It was registered as a limited company on 2068/01/20 B.S. (2011) and began microfinance operations on 2069/12/18 B.S. (2013) after receiving its NRB license. Its working area covers around 15 mountainous and hilly districts of Nepal, focused on providing inclusive financial services to economically disadvantaged people.
