About Terhathum Power Company Limited

Terhathum Power Company Limited (TPC) is a Nepali hydropower company incorporated on 16 August 2009 as a private limited company and converted to a public limited company on 21 June 2018. It operates the 7.5 MW Upper Khorunga Khola Small Hydropower Project, a run-of-river plant in Myanglung/Menchhayayem Rural Municipality, Terhathum district, Koshi Province, with a gross head of about 297 m and design discharge of 3.15 m3/s at Q40. The company is also developing a cascade 2 MW Khorunga-Tangmaya Khola Hydropower Project downstream, budgeted at around NPR 400 million on 100% equity. Power is sold to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), and the company is listed under the Hydro Power sector on NEPSE.
