Molung Hydropower Company Limited (MHCL) is a Nepali hydropower company listed on NEPSE under the Hydro Power sector. It was formed on 14 May 2010 (31 Baishakh 2067 BS). The company operates the 7 MW Molung (Molun) Khola Small Hydropower Project, a run-of-river scheme located in Harkapur, Prapcha and Baruneshwar areas of Okhaldhunga district, Koshi Province. The company obtained its generation license on 02 Ashoj 2071 BS (around September 2014), valid for 35 years, and the plant began generating electricity around March 2018 (Falgun 2074 BS), producing about 35.73 GWh annually. The plant is connected to the national grid and sells power to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
