About Chhyangdi Hydropower Ltd.

Chhyangdi Hydropower Ltd. (CHL) is a Nepali hydropower company that owns and operates two run-of-river projects in Lamjung district, Gandaki Province: the 2 MW Chhandi Khola Hydropower Project and the upstream 4 MW Upper Chhandi Khola Small Hydropower Project. The company was incorporated in September 2007. The 2 MW plant was commissioned in March 2016 at a cost of about NPR 443 million (developed at Q40), while the 4 MW plant was commissioned in December 2021 at a cost of about NPR 906 million (developed at around Q42). Both projects supply power to the national grid via the Nepal Electricity Authority. CHL is listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange under the Hydro Power sector.
