Financial Reports: Most Commercial Banks Experience Profit Declines in Q2

Various banks and financial institutions have published their financial report for the second quarter. Most of the banks had experienced profit declines in their financial report. The profit earned in this quarter and in the same time frame, the previous year are compared below with differences.

Among the presented banks, 16 out of 20 had declined in their profits. Only four banks i.e. Prime Commercial Bank, Agricultural Development Bank, Himalayan Bank Limited, and Everest Bank Limited have increased their profit in this quarter.

Following the table, Nabil Bank Limited has earned the highest amount of profit in this quarter i.e. Rs. 3.20 Arba. Although the bank's profit has declined by 6.28% compared to the previous year. 

The least profit was earned by Nepal Bank Limited i.e 59 Crores. The bank also faces a high decline in profit of whooping 49.60% compared to the previous year. NIC Asia Bank, Prabhu Bank, and Nepal SBI Bank also face a high percentage of decline in profit in this quarter.

In terms of profits, Himalayan Bank led the changes column with 57.53% positive change in their profit. Other banks like Prime Commercial Bank Limited at 32.13%, Everest Bank at 7.88%, and ADBL, which incurred a loss in the previous year's quarter earned a profit of Rs. 1.35 Arba in this quarter.
