Mutual Fund Lock-In Period
The lock-in period refers to a specific duration during which restrictions are made to sell the share in the public market. When the company provides shares to the locals, employees, and mutual funds, they are restricted to selling the stocks for a certain period.
In the context of NEPSE, SEBON has regulated that the mutual funds that are holding large numbers of shares are restricted from selling it in the market for six months. The details of the lock-in period for mutual funds for various listed companies are listed as:
