Bhagwati Hydropower Company's Dividend Announcement, AGM, and Book Closure Date Determined; FY 2079/80

Bhagawati Hydropower Development Company Limited (BGWT) has called for its annual general meeting (AGM) to distribute dividends to shareholders based on the profits of the previous fiscal year.

The 23rd AGM is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, the 24th of Poush, at Arpan Banquet in Thapagaun, New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, starting at 10 AM. During the meeting, a proposal to distribute a cash dividend of NPR 6,02,17,336.84, equivalent to a rate of 10.5263% on the paid-up capital, will be presented and likely approved. Additionally, the AGM will consider proposals to appoint seven directors from among the founder shareholders and two directors from among the general shareholders to the company's executive committee, as well as the appointment of auditors.

To facilitate shareholders, the company has announced the book closure date on 5th of Poush. According to the notice, from the 4th of Push onwards, those with shares registered on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) can participate in the AGM and receive a share of the dividends that the company plans to distribute."

The book closure date to receive the proposed dividends is set for the 5th of Poush. Therefore, only shareholders holding shares until the 4th of Poush will be eligible to participate in the meeting and receive the proposed dividends.
