The Nepal Panchang Determination Committee has publicly announced the schedule for this year's Dashain festival. According to the information, the auspicious time of Vijaya Dashami falls on Kartik 7th, at 11:02 AM.

This year's Bada Dashain, which marks the beginning of the Durga Puja, will start on Asoj 28th, Sunday, also known as the beginning of Navaratri. On this day, the auspicious time for "Ghatasthapana" is at 11:29 AM, as informed by the committee's executive director, Surya Prasad Dhungel.

On the same day, due to the alignment of "Chitra Nakshatra" and" Vaidhriti Yoga," it is recommended to worship ( peaceful establishment of the goddess) them before continuing "Ghatasthapana." Similarly, Kartik 7th, at 10:37 AM, is the best time for immersion of the goddess, and only after the immersion of the goddess it is advised to perform the ritual of receiving her blessings without any hindrance, which will be possible from 11:02 AM.

This year, due to the presence of an extra month (Adhikmas) in the lunar calendar, the grand festival of Dashain begins from Asoj and concludes on the 11th Kartik. The main day of Bada Dashain, which is Vijaya Dashami, falls on Kartik 7th. After the celebration of "Kojagrat Purnima" on the 11th Kartik, the long festival of Bada Dashain, spanning 15 days, comes to an end.
